"IMAGE AWARDS HOMETOWN CHAMPIONS CONTEST"

CONNIE DRUMMOND
Connie Drummond is the Visionary behind Lady C Productions. After going
on auditions and not getting parts because I didn't "look the part". I
put my theatre skills to work and started my own production company in
order to give other talented people that do not necessary "look the
part" the opportunity to showcase their talents and pursue their dreams
of becoming stage actors. Of the 10 plays that I have written, two have
been produced. My first play NorthPhillyBillies was the recipient of the
2014 Benevolent Playwright Award for community activism thru threater
& accepted into the D.C. Black Theatre Festival. My greatest joy is
helping people realize their dreams and giving them the opportunity to
shine. I also partner with a youth theatre group during the summer where
I teach basic theatre to low income youths. I'm so blessed to have
received this vision. Please vote for me in the NAACP Image Awards
Hometown Champion Contest. Thank you for your support.
